Just south of a sleepy town called Kingsbury, sits an old aerodrome. This unique airfield is home to the Pioneer Flight Museum which is spearheaded by a group of staunch aviation enthusiasts. Annually, around Veteran’s Day they host the Fall Fly-In, when private pilots from across the U.S. gather to celebrate. The event brings in vintage airplanes and helicopters, classical cars, and historical re-enactors. While the event is free, please bring donations to help preserve this hidden Texas treasure.
