A West Texas Storm

Watching a storm roll into Rankin. Wind cuts through stagnant, dry, hot air. Temperature rapidly drops as the first droplet breaks against your skin. It feels like ice. The scorching highway begins to steam as clouds roll over one another. Lightning strikes. The cold wind picks up speed, covering you in dust. Darkness sets in and hail begins to pound. Time to take shelter but it’s hard to look away.
